Job summary

Precise Systems is seeking a highly experienced Platform Engineer to support the design, automation, deployment, and modernization of secure cloud and platform environments for Navy and DoD capabilities. This role emphasizes IaC, scripting, and secure operations in enterprise, cloud, containerized, and hybrid environments.

This role requires in-person support and offers opportunities to lead cross-functional teams, implement secure configurations, and advance mission-ready platform solutions

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Experience supporting platform engineering, cloud infrastructure, DevOps, or related roles.
• Experience with enterprise, cloud, containerized, and hybrid hosting environments.
• Experience using scripting and IaC concepts to support operations.
• Experience deployment, configuration, troubleshooting, monitoring, and modernization tasks.
• Strong understanding of security practices and system hardening.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support design, automation, configuration, integration, and sustainment of secure platform environments.
• Develop and improve Infrastructure as Code to automate provisioning and deployment.
• Use scripting to streamline platform operations and troubleshooting.
• Support AWS GovCloud infrastructure development and operations.
• Engineer OS, identity, networking, storage, and application hosting environments.
• Assist with deployment, scaling, monitoring, and troubleshooting of containerized platforms.
• Apply cybersecurity and hardening practices and document solutions.
• Provide senior technical leadership across cross-functional teams.
