Job summary

Pivotal Health is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to design, scale, and harden the foundation powering our platform. You will partner with engineering teams to evolve cloud architecture, improve reliability and security, and ensure we scale with more customers and complexity.

You’ll help evolve cloud architecture for scale and isolation, design secure event-driven systems, and build automation to speed up delivery while reducing toil.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in platform, infrastructure, or software engineering.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Strong Python and cloud-native systems experience.
• Hands-on Terraform, CI/CD, Docker, and Kubernetes proficiency.
• Experience with event-driven data architectures (Kafka, Pub/Sub, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Design and evolve platform architecture to support long-term growth.
• Build tooling and automation to improve developer productivity and reliability.
• Expand Terraform coverage and secure provisioning across environments.
• Design scalable data flows and system interactions with performance in mind.
• Improve observability, monitoring, and incident response for the platform.
• Secure CI/CD pipelines and data flows while supporting compliance.
• Reduce toil through automation and AI-driven tooling where helpful.
• Collaborate with feature teams to unblock delivery.
