Job summary

Oyster HR is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to help shape the platform that sits between code and production, with a focus on CI/CD, cloud infrastructure, observability, and developer tooling.

You will collaborate with application and security engineers to simplify infrastructure, build reliable foundations, and explore AI to boost productivity and automate workflows. This is a fully remote role with a global team and requires being based within +4 / +0 UTC.

Responsibilities

• Build a world-class developer experience: Design and maintain internal tooling, packages, and abstractions that create simple, self-service paths for engineers and reduce infrastructure complexity and operational toil.
• Own the path from commit to production: Build, operate, and continuously improve reliable, automated CI/CD pipelines that enable engineers to ship safely, frequently, and with confidence.
• Evolve our cloud platform: Operate and improve Oyster’s AWS infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code, with a focus on scalability, availability, security, and cost efficiency.
• Improve reliability and observability: Apply SRE principles, observability, and incident-management practices to reduce outages, accelerate recovery, and identify opportunities to eliminate recurring operational toil.
