Job summary

GEICO is seeking a Senior Staff Engineer to lead high-performance, secure, low-maintenance, zero-downtime platforms and applications as it transforms IT into a tech-driven organization. You will work with Distinguished Engineers and Senior Software Engineers to deliver high-quality products and unlock new capabilities.

You will deploy, scale, and manage containerized apps with Docker and Kubernetes, ensure security and reliability, and collaborate across teams to improve the technology stack

Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional PaaS and IaaS experience.
• 10+ years of experience working with Linux.
• Expert in container runtimes, security, and scalable architectures.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the security, availability, and performance of containerized applications.
• Develop best practices and standards in container runtime technology.
• Deploy, scale, and lifecycle-manage containerized applications using Docker, Kubernetes, and related orchestration platforms.
• Collaborate to ensure seamless integration of container runtimes with the overall tech stack.
