Job summary

Qualifications

• 15+ years of software, infrastructure, cloud, or platform engineering experience.
• 5+ years at Principal/Senior Staff/Distinguished Engineer level or equivalent.
• Proven track record designing and operating large-scale cloud platforms.
• Deep Kubernetes expertise in architecture, operations, networking, storage, security.
• Extensive OpenStack and Ceph experience at scale.
• Strong IaC, automation, and distributed systems leadership.

Responsibilities

• Define and own the long-term technical roadmap for GEICO's Private Cloud Platform.
• Architect OpenStack, Kubernetes, Ceph, SDN, identity integration, observability, automation.
• Lead multi-region OpenStack infrastructure design and modernization initiatives.
• Drive platform resiliency, DR, migration from legacy virtualization, and risk mitigation.
• Mentor senior engineers and influence executive leadership on private cloud strategy.
