Job summary

Vanguard seeks an experienced IT professional to plan and implement new technologies for enterprise-wide platforms. You will design, deploy, and optimize systems to meet business needs while improving performance and reliability.

The role requires leadership in technical standards, change control, and production support, with mentoring responsibilities for junior staff and strong documentation practices.

Qualifications

• Minimum eight years related work experience.
• Undergraduate degree in a related field or the equivalent combination of training and experience.

Responsibilities

• Plans and implements new technologies and major releases for enterprise-wide IT platform projects.
• Provides expert level technical support and ensures reliable operation of production across platforms.
• Develops technical standards, tests and evaluates vendor products, and recommends new technologies.
• Elevates code into development, test, and production environments with proper change control and documentation.
• Learns client area business functions and determines appropriate technical tools to address needs.
• Trains and mentors junior staff, updates documentation, and provides guidance as required.
• Administers system activities, analyzes requirements, and designs logical/physical systems.
• Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
