Job summary

Charles River Associates seeks a Senior Platform Engineer to design, build, and continually improve its hybrid infrastructure spanning on-premises datacenters and public clouds. You will focus on platform engineering, automation, IaC, and operational excellence to deliver scalable, secure, self-service services.

The role emphasizes automation with Terraform, Ansible, Bicep, and cloud governance, plus migration readiness and multi-cloud workloads.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technology-related discipline; Master’s preferred.
• Azure/AWS cloud certifications preferred; Terraform Associate or Advanced desirable.
• 8+ years supporting enterprise-scale infrastructure and multi-cloud environments.
• 5+ years working with Terraform and IaC methodologies.
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines and GitOps workflows (GitHub Actions, Jenkins).
• Scripting with Ansible, Bash, PowerShell, Python; REST APIs.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain hybrid infrastructure platforms (on-prem + cloud).
• Develop reusable platform services enabling self-service provisioning.
• Establish platform standards, golden images, reference architectures, and guardrails.
• Contribute to enterprise platform roadmaps and modernization initiatives.
