Job summary

Charles River Associates seeks a Senior Platform Engineer to design and enhance our hybrid infrastructure spanning on‑prem and cloud environments. The role emphasizes platform engineering, automation, IaC, and operational excellence to deliver scalable, secure services.

You will work with Terraform, Bicep, Ansible, and cloud services to enable self‑service provisioning, enforce standards, and support migration to multi‑cloud architectures. Office presence 3–4 days per week is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technology field; Master’s preferred.
• 8+ years of enterprise infrastructure and multi‑cloud experience.
• 5+ years with Terraform and IaC methodologies.
• CI/CD pipelines and GitOps with GitHub Actions / Jenkins.
• Automation scripting with Ansible, Bash, PowerShell, Python.
• Cloud governance, FinOps, and security controls experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain hybrid infrastructure platforms across on‑prem and cloud.
• Develop reusable platform services for self‑service provisioning.
• Establish standards, golden images, reference architectures, guardrails.
• Develop IaC pipelines and automation for provisioning, patching, DR, and compliance.
