Job summary

Félix is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to join the Platform Core team. You will design, build, and optimize foundational microservices and infrastructure powering Félix’s products, balancing rapid delivery with solid engineering principles.

You will tackle bottlenecks, improve reliability, and collaborate with product, operations, and compliance to deliver scalable, resilient financial solutions for millions of users.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer, including experience in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Proven track record of building, shipping, and iterating on software applications, particularly in the Fintech domain.
• Solid foundation in algorithms and data structures.
• Experience designing and implementing web services, including REST APIs.
• Familiarity with Hexagonal Architecture, Event-Driven Architecture, and practices like A/B Testing, Feature Flags, and Gradual Rollouts.
• Domain Expertise: Experience in building and maintaining payment systems, financial disbursement solutions, or compliance-driven platforms is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of security protocols, compliance standards, and KYC/AML processes.
• A passion for developing products that make a real impact on millions.
• Commitment to continuous learning and staying abreast of emerging technologies.
• Excellent collaboration and prioritization skills in a team-oriented environment.
• Curiosity and/or experience in Fintech is a plus (equivalent competencies will also be considered).

Responsibilities

• Platform Architecture & Development: Design, build, and optimize foundational microservices and infrastructure that power the company’s products.
• System Resilience: Improve the resilience of the platform by designing systems that gracefully handle failures. Implement monitoring and observability solutions, improve incident response processes, and build mechanisms such as retries, circuit breakers, fallbacks, and automated recovery strategies.
• Scalability & Performance: Identify bottlenecks, improve system efficiency, and ensure services support continued hyper-growth while maintaining high availability.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with product, operations, compliance, and other business units to deliver holistic financial solutions.
• Mentorship & Growth: Mentor junior developers and promote best practices across the engineering team.
• Continuous Improvement: Leverage user feedback and system analytics to refine and iterate on platform capabilities.
