Job summary

Félix is seeking a Staff Software Engineer for the Platform Core team to design and scale foundational services powering its AI-enabled remittance platform. You will identify bottlenecks, improve efficiency, and ensure high availability as the company grows.

Ideal candidates have 8+ years of distributed-systems experience, deep backend skills (Python/Go/Java), REST and gRPC, and hands-on cloud work with GCP, Kubernetes, and Terraform.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience in distributed systems.
• Expertise in Python, Go, or Java with REST APIs, gRPC, and SQL/NoSQL databases.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, idempotency, concurrency and microservices.
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform, Kubernetes, Terraform.
• Ability to communicate architectural decisions to executives.
• Proven CI/CD delivery in fast-paced environments.
• Fluent or advanced English.

Responsibilities

• Architect, build, and optimize foundational microservices and infrastructure.
• Improve platform resilience; implement monitoring, incident response, retries, fallbacks, and recovery.
• Identify bottlenecks, boost performance, ensure high availability during hyper-growth.
• Set architectural vision and understand data flows across services.
• Collaborate with Payments, Disbursements, and GRC teams on shared infra and API contracts.
• Mentor senior and mid‑level engineers, promoting best practices.
• Translate product requirements into production-ready code with speed and precision.
