Job summary

Capital One is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to design and operate scalable DevOps platforms across multiple environments, including New York, Richmond, McLean and Plano. You’ll work with data owners, security teams and software engineers to enable secure, reliable deployments and rapid iteration.

Responsibilities include ensuring platform availability, resilience, implementing automation, and staying current with Google Workspace, AWS and container technologies.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience with build/deploy tools (Jenkins, GitHub, or Artifactory).
• 2+ years with AWS and/or GCP.
• Experience with Agile practices (scrum/kanban).
• Experience administering Google Workspace or similar enterprise suite (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Own availability, resilience and scalability of the platform.
• Lead onboarding of new services and automation.
• Collaborate with Software Engineers to ensure platform compatibility.
• Implement security logging and access controls and data integrity measures.
