Job summary

Capital One is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer in McLean, VA to lead the availability, resilience and scalability of our Google Workspace-driven platform and DevOps tooling. You’ll collaborate with Architecture and Software Engineers to implement cutting-edge technologies and secure, automated operations.

You will manage Google Workspace, monitor performance and security, create clear documentation, and help drive a transformation across Capital One’s tech stack.

Qualifications

• Experience with build and deployment tools (Jenkins, GitHub, Artifactory).
• At least 2 years of AWS experience.
• Experience administering Google Workspace.

Responsibilities

• Manage Google Workspace for the organization.
• Provide prompt and effective technical support to users, troubleshooting issues and answering questions.
• Monitor system performance, security, and data integrity, taking proactive measures to address potential problems.
• Stay up-to-date with Google Workspace features and best practices; implement updates and improvements.
• Develop and maintain clear documentation and training materials for users.
• Focus on building and maintaining the platform's underlying operational aspects, including remediation of vulnerabilities.
• Monitor platform support Slack channels and address customer questions and issues.
• Lead the availability, resilience and scalability of the platform.
• Collaborate with Architecture and Software Engineers to align platforms with the latest architecture and configuration.
• Encourage innovation and automation across the platform with diverse teamwork.
