Job summary

Capital One in Richmond, VA is seeking a Lead Platform Engineer to provide prompt technical support, monitor performance, and drive platform improvements. You will collaborate with Architecture and Software teams to ensure secure, scalable operations and maintain clear user documentation.

You will mentor engineers, advocate automation, and lead efforts across Agile teams to deliver robust full‑stack tooling and platforms, with emphasis on AWS and modern CI/CD practices.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent certification.
• At least 6 years of experience using build and deployment tools (Jenkins, GitHub, or Artifactory).
• At least 4 years of experience with AWS
• At least 2 years of team leadership experience
• At least 2 years of experience administering Google Workspace

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt and effective technical support to users, troubleshooting issues and answering questions.
• Monitor system performance, security, and data integrity, taking proactive measures to address potential problems.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest Google Workspace features and best practices, implementing updates and improvements as needed.
• Develop and maintain clear documentation and training materials for users.
• Focus on building and maintaining the underlying operational aspects of the platform including remediating vulnerabilities.
• Monitor platform support Slack channels and address customer questions and issues.
