Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering with leadership experience.
• Mentorship-focused track record for engineers at associate and intermediate levels.
• Experience in Platform, Infrastructure, or Developer Experience teams.
• Deep expertise in Node.js/TypeScript, with scalable Nest.js backends and React.js frontends.
• Hands-on with containerized workloads using Kubernetes and ArgoCD.
• Strong PostgreSQL (query optimization and schema design) and Kafka knowledge.
• Ability to refactor legacy code into scalable, maintainable architecture.
• Ability to navigate ambiguity and convert frustrations into roadmaps.
• Proven capacity to build psychological safety and raise engineering quality.

Responsibilities

• Interview engineering teams to identify workflow pain points and prioritize tool or architectural changes.
• Design reusable patterns using Nest.js, React.js, and TypeScript to enable engineers to ship high-quality services.
• Resolve systemic performance issues, optimize PostgreSQL queries, and refine Kafka patterns for reliability.
• Own and evolve Kubernetes and ArgoCD configurations for seamless deployments.
• Lead cross-team technical challenges and refactor complex codebases into maintainable modules.
• Mentor engineers to elevate technical skills and understanding of architecture.
• Prototype and roll out internal tools to improve CI/CD, local development, and observability.
• Introduce new frameworks and provide documentation, workshops, and 1:1 support for adoption.
• Lead code reviews with focus on maintainable design, testing strategies, and risk mitigation.
• Communicate complex trade-offs across teams with empathy and alignment.
