Job summary

Horizon3, a leading remote cybersecurity company behind the NodeZero platform, seeks a Staff Developer Experience Engineer to shape how engineers build, test, release, and operate software.

You will define standards for local development, CI/CD, and release workflows; mentor engineers and drive secure, scalable delivery across multiple teams; and partner with Platform, Security, QA, and Product to raise the engineering bar.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in Developer Experience, productivity, or platform engineering roles with tooling ownership.
• Strong experience designing and operating CI/CD systems, preferably GitLab CI/CD and self-hosted runners.
• Proficiency in Go and Python for automation and tooling.
• Experience with container builds, Docker/OCI images, and secure supply chains.

Responsibilities

• Define architecture and roadmap for local development, CI/CD, and release workflows.
• Lead high-impact engineering initiatives to standardize from code change to production.
• Build reusable GitLab CI/CD templates, runner capabilities, and release artifacts.
• Improve delivery observability, performance, and security across platforms.
