raydar is hiring a Platform Engineer to own and build the core backend platform for a data-intensive system in New York. You will oversee high-volume ingestion, large-scale queries, and performance tuning on a fast-moving team, collaborating with engineering leadership.

The role requires strong backend engineering skills (Python or similar) and a track record of improving speed, uptime, and capacity for heavy data workloads. On-site five days a week.

Qualifikationen

• 4–10 years of server-side or low-level software experience.
• Strong CS fundamentals across system architecture, databases and scaling.
• Proficient in Python or another high-performance language.
• Willingness to work on-site five days a week in New York.

Aufgaben

• Design and build the core backend platform for high-volume data processing.
• Own infrastructure decisions and the technical roadmap.
• Partner with product engineers and leadership to ship scalable features.
• Build services that handle very large data throughput and real-time ingestion.
• Lead the design of large-scale data models and query layers for fast analysis.
• Profile and tune analytical and transactional databases with benchmarks, query plans and monitoring.
• Use AI coding tools to speed up benchmarking, monitoring, incident debugging and development.
