Job summary

True Talent Solutions Partners is seeking an experienced platform/backend engineer for an on-site role in New York. You will design and own core platform systems that scale across teams, leveraging Python, TypeScript, React, and AWS.

You will collaborate with customers and finance leaders to map workflows and deliver reusable platform solutions, making architectural decisions in ambiguous environments while leading cross-functional projects to raise the team's capabilities.

Qualifications

• Four to twelve years backend/platform engineering experience, Python focus.
• Deep expertise in distributed systems and data infrastructure.
• Proficiency with TypeScript and React for full-stack development, plus AWS.
• Fluency with AI-assisted coding tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, or similar.
• Experience delivering high-impact, cross-functional projects in production and communicating with customers.
• Strong CS fundamentals in a high-growth tech company, startup, or fintech-related context.
• Fintech, accounting, ERP, payments, ledger, or financial data pipeline experience is valuable.

Responsibilities

• Build and own platform systems for agent frameworks, orchestration, verification, observability, and developer tooling.
• Design data infrastructure to ingest, normalize, and reconcile information from financial and business systems.
• Work directly with customers and finance leaders to understand workflows and develop reusable platform solutions.
• Make architectural decisions in ambiguous environments, identify bottlenecks, and deliver full-stack work when needed.
• Lead cross-functional engineering projects that improve the capabilities of the broader team.
