Job summary

Raydar is partnering with a fast-growing software client in New York to recruit a Platform Engineer. You will establish the platform function from scratch, define processes, policies and tooling, and move legacy infrastructure to modern cloud systems while strengthening the cloud architecture.

Role emphasizes security program leadership, audit readiness, and improving release automation and internal tooling. On-site work four days per week with equity, retirement plan and flexible time off.

Qualifications

• Around 6 or more years of experience in infrastructure, DevOps or security engineering.
• Background building security infrastructure at a B2B SaaS company in a regulated industry, either at a startup or a fast-moving, well-regarded technology company.
• Deep hands-on AWS experience.
• Experience designing CI/CD pipelines and working with monitoring and observability tools.
• Application security expertise, including authentication, data protection and vulnerability management.
• Comfort with ambiguity and a hands-on, high-ownership working style.

Responsibilities

• Establish the platform function from scratch, defining its processes, policies and tooling.
• Move older infrastructure onto modern cloud systems and reinforce the cloud architecture in the early months.
• Run and streamline the company's security and compliance program, including audit readiness, AI usage policies and incident handling.
• Improve release automation, internal developer tooling and deployment processes so engineers can ship faster.
• Coach leadership on security practices and encourage a security-minded culture across engineering.
