Job summary

Anthropic is seeking a senior backend/platform engineer to advance the Claude Platform across cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure). You will own cross-cloud integrations, security, and enterprise features, collaborating with Infrastructure, Systems, Networking, and Databases teams.

You’ll drive enterprise readiness by shipping features like key management, audit APIs, usage visibility, access control, and data residency, partnering with CSPs to enable cloud platforms at scale.

Qualifications

• 8+ years as a backend or platform engineer building scalable distributed systems.
• Product-focused approach to platform work with robust, scalable solutions.
• Ownership of large-scale infrastructure projects end-to-end.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure at scale (GCP/AWS/Azure) and enterprise SaaS multi-tenant environments.
• Strong ownership from design through deployment and operations.
• Proficiency in Python, Go, Rust, or similar languages.

Responsibilities

• Develop Claude Platform on the Cloud Providers (AWS, GCP, Azure) to be best-in-class, enabling the API, control plane, and features across clouds.
• Collaborate across Infrastructure, Systems, Networking, Databases, Inference and other teams to deliver scalable solutions.
• Drive Enterprise Readiness by shipping enablement features (key management, encryption, audit APIs, usage visibility, access control, data residency).
• Partner with CSPs and internal teams to enable cloud platforms at scale.
