Job summary

Global Payments Inc. is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer – Payrix to join the Payrix Platform Engineering team.

You will design, build, operate, and scale a cloud-native platform that enables Payrix engineering teams to deliver payments capabilities safely. You will own platform foundations across AWS/EKS, infrastructure-as-code, GitHub governance, and observability while driving automation and self-service for multiple regions and environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, operate, and improve the cloud-native Payrix platform used by engineering teams.
• Define and maintain golden paths for services including EKS, IaC, GitHub Actions, observability, and security.
• Reduce repetitive steps by automating workflows and creating clear self-service patterns.
• Create platform documentation, runbooks, and implementation guidance in Confluence and repos.
• Partner with engineering teams to enable platform services while clarifying long-term ownership.
