Job summary

Cincsystems is seeking a Staff Platform Engineer to lead the design and evolution of its internal platform ecosystem on AWS. You will shape architecture, establish standards, and enable product teams via a world-class Internal Developer Platform (IDP).

You will collaborate across teams to improve reliability, security, and developer experience, implementing secure, scalable networking and data architectures while guiding cloud-native and AI-enabled engineering practices.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in platform engineering, DevOps, SRE, or cloud infra roles.
• Deep expertise in AWS cloud services and cloud-native architecture.
• Hands-on with Kubernetes and container orchestration.
• Strong AWS networking knowledge: VPCs, IPs, routing, connectivity patterns.
• Experience designing multi-account and hybrid AWS networks.
• Knowledge of cloud security, segmentation, and zero-trust.
• Proven track record designing Internal Developer Platforms (IDPs).
• IaC experience, Terraform preferred.
• Familiarity with microservices, serverless, event-driven architectures.
• Strong CI/CD and DevSecOps practices.

Responsibilities

• Define platform architecture for cloud-native platforms on AWS.
• Architect and govern AWS network topology, multi-account/hybrid designs.
• Lead secure, scalable, automated platform engineering initiatives.
• Improve developer experience with self-service tooling and templates.
• Mentor engineers and guide cross-team architectural decisions.
• Design/implement secure network architectures, zero-trust controls.
• Develop and enforce IaC standards (Terraform), CI/CD pipelines.
• Oversee observability and reliability across distributed systems.
• Drive cost-aware, performant cloud infrastructure decisions.
• Lead security governance, IAM, encryption, and data handling.
