Job summary

Capital One is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to build and support DevOps tools and platforms, driving transformation across the organization. You will work with architects and software engineers to ensure scalable, secure, and reliable infrastructure in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting, monitoring, documenting, and improving platform operations, implementing automation with Python, Bash, Terraform, Ansible, and AWS services, and ensuring security and data

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience using build and deployment tools (Jenkins, GitHub, or Artifactory).
• At least 2 years of experience with AWS.
• At least 1 year of experience administering Google Workspace.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt and effective technical support to users, troubleshooting issues and answering questions.
• Monitor system performance, security, and data integrity, taking proactive measures to address potential problems.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest Google Workspace features and best practices, implementing updates and improvements as needed.
• Develop and maintain clear documentation and training materials for users.
• Focus on building and maintaining the underlying operational aspects of the platform including remediating vulnerabilities.
• Monitor platform support Slack channels and address customer questions and issues.
• Lead the availability, resilience and scalability of the platform.
• Work closely with the Architecture team to align the platforms to latest architecture and configuration.
• Encourage innovation, automation, implementation of cutting-edge technologies, inclusion, outside-of-the-box thinking, teamwork, self-organization and diversity to a legacy process.
• Develop, and utilize best practices to enhance the overall user experience of the platform.
• Utilize scripting languages like Python, Bash, and others.
• Container Orchestration services including Docker and ECS, CM tools including Ansible and Terraform, and a variety of AWS tools and services
• Collaborate with the Software Engineers to ensure software works seamlessly on the platforms.
