Job summary

Cardinal Health is seeking a senior professional to lead the design, development, and ongoing enhancement of core software and information platforms within a large IT ecosystem. You will drive platform stability, establish standards, and partner with cross‑functional teams to translate business needs into scalable architectures.

You will mentor engineers, perform root‑cause analyses on cloud issues, and advocate best practices across Compute Engine, IAM, and API surfaces.

Qualifications

• 8–12 years of experience in related field preferred.
• 5+ years of hands-on GCP experience in products like Compute Engine, IAM and APIs.
• Experience maintaining Databricks platform.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and enhancement of core software & information platforms.
• Provide platform metrics & proactively identify patterns to improve platform stability.
• Break down complex initiatives into small actionable work items.
• Troubleshoot complex platform and cloud issues, perform root‑cause analysis, and drive long‑term stability and performance improvements.
• Establish platform standards, best practices, and governance across cloud architectures, integrations, and application frameworks.
• Collaborate with Application Development, Infrastructure, and Architecture teams to translate business requirements into robust platform designs and reusable components.
• Mentor and guide engineers across teams by providing architectural insights, code reviews, knowledge sharing, and technical leadership
