The Hartford’s Data Analytics and AI Office (DAIO) – and Data Platform Services (DPS) Team seeks a Senior Staff Platform Engineer. You will lead platform architectures, drive cloud adoption, and build scalable data platforms across AWS and GCP.

This is a hands-on, strategic engineering role requiring 6+ years of relevant experience. You will collaborate with architects and internal customers, deliver IaC-driven solutions, and advance DevOps/DataOps practices to improve automation and user

Competenze

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience.
6+ years of cloud and/or data platform experience.
3+ years providing architectural guidance to developers.
2+ years designing/implementing solutions in AWS and GCP.
Ability to learn new technologies quickly within 6–12 months.
Experience building applications/platforms using Agile Scrum methodologies.
Strong analytical ability and communication skills.

Mansioni

Analyze industry trends in cloud computing and data platform technologies.
Design and engineer target state platform architectures for cloud data ecosystems.
Collaborate with internal customers to guide solutions for batch/streaming, real-time data, and migrations.
Drive hands-on POCs and IaC to support new technologies.
