Job summary

Cardinal Health seeks a senior engineer to lead design, development, and enhancement of core software and information platforms. You will drive metrics, identify stability patterns, and mentor engineers across teams while translating business requirements into scalable platform designs.

The role emphasizes cloud architecture governance, collaboration with multiple IT teams, and long-term platform improvements with a focus on Databricks and GCP environments.

Qualifications

• 8-12 years of experience, preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred.
• 5+ years of hands-on GCP experience in products like Compute Engine, IAM and APIs.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and enhancement of core software & information platforms.
• Provide platform metrics & proactively identify patterns to improve platform stability.
• Ability to break down complex initiatives into small actionable work items.
• Troubleshoot complex platform and cloud issues, perform root‑cause analysis, and drive long‑term stability and performance improvements.
• Establish platform standards, best practices, and governance across cloud architectures, integrations, and application frameworks.
• Collaborate with Application Development, Infrastructure, and Architecture teams to translate business requirements into robust platform designs and reusable components.
• Mentor and guide engineers across teams by providing architectural insights, code reviews, knowledge sharing, and technical leadership
