Job summary

Cardinal Health is seeking a senior Software & Information Platforms leader in the US to drive design, development, and enhancement of core platforms. You will provide platform metrics, break down complex initiatives, and collaborate across Dev, Infra, and Architecture teams to deliver robust, scalable solutions.

The role emphasizes mentoring engineers, establishing standards, and driving long‑term stability and performance in cloud environments such as GCP and Databricks.

Qualifications

• 8-12 years of experience, preferred
• Bachelor's degree in related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred
• 5+ years of hands‑on GCP experience in products like Compute Engine, IAM and APIs
• Experience maintaining Databricks platform

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and enhancement of core software & information platforms
• Provide platform metrics & proactively identify patterns to improve platform stability
• Ability to break down complex initiatives into small actionable work items
• Troubleshoot complex platform and cloud issues, perform root‑cause analysis, and drive long‑term stability and performance improvements
• Establish platform standards, best practices, and governance across cloud architectures, integrations, and application frameworks
• Collaborate with Application Development, Infrastructure, and Architecture teams to translate business requirements into robust platform designs and reusable components
• Mentor and guide engineers across teams by providing architectural insights, code reviews, knowledge sharing, and technical leadership
