Job summary

JPMorganChase is seeking a Senior Lead Software Engineer to own architectural direction for a high-scale AI/ML deployment platform. The role focuses on control plane integration, multi-region deployment, APIs for retraining and autoscaling, and direct engagement with US-based clients to drive outcomes.

You will guide teams and shape security and reliability practices across the SDLC. You will collaborate with global teams to ensure scalable infrastructure, robust governance, and optimized

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience.
• Industry experience as a platform engineer delivering large-scale infrastructure.
• Deep AWS expertise including networking, multi-account architectures, and security; strong Golang or Python.
• Advanced Terraform and HCL skills for multi-region, multi-account delivery.
• Production experience with Kubernetes / EKS at scale.
• Hands-on AWS SageMaker for model deployments and inference.
• Strong DevOps background with complex CI/CD pipelines and automation.
• Self-directed: make architectural decisions with minimal oversight.
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools with safe, compliant practices.

Responsibilities

• Drive architectural vision for platform components: control plane, multi-region deployment, DR.
• Design and implement APIs for retraining, scheduling, deployment, and autoscaling.
• Build infrastructure for seamless integration across control plane and client accounts.
• Engage with US-based clients for requirements, solutioning, and debugging.
• Provide independent architectural direction and tradeoff decisions.
• Guide and align teams, contractors, and vendors on engineering practices.
