Qualifications

• Extensive experience managing enterprise virtualization platforms end-to-end.
• Experience with lifecycles, provisioning, and platform retirement.
• Ability to design, implement, and optimize virtualization architectures.
• Strong automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) skills.
• Excellent capacity planning and data analysis capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Monitor all aspects of the virtualization platform life cycle, including host clustering, capacity planning, platform lifecycle upgrades, and storage/network integrations.
• Define and deliver enterprise virtualization platforms, software-defined networking, and storage environments to meet internal engineering needs.
• Deliver defined platform features, automated provisioning pipelines, and infrastructure capabilities using IaC and automation frameworks.
• Research telemetry data, system logs, and incident reports to identify optimization and reliability opportunities.
• Explore bottlenecks and high-availability issues, identifying causes and remediation plans.
• Execute deployment and maintenance plans for virtualization components, managing schedules and risks.
• Analyze large datasets on resource utilization to identify capacity constraints and performance improvements.
• Edit runbooks, disaster recovery procedures, and SOPs per guidelines.
• Support project milestones and infrastructure sprint goals, coordinating with IT stakeholders.
• Review backlogs and reprioritize tasks to reduce downtime and improve resilience.
• Provide technical training and support to cross-functional teams to adopt virtualization capabilities.
• Demonstrate automated provisioning workflows and self-service tooling to drive standardization.
