Job summary

Radiant Logistics, Inc. is seeking a Senior Platform Services Engineer to own the shared authentication and authorization layer, observability, and core platform services.

You will implement API/BFF contracts, guardrails, and automated quality gates while mentoring growing teams. The role emphasizes independence, steering platform work toward product-team goals, and collaborating with product leadership on feasibility and frontend infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in software engineering, with platform/backend focus.
• Hands-on experience with OAuth2/OIDC, SSO, token/session models (Cognito/Okta/Auth0).
• Experience implementing OpenTelemetry observability (tracing, metrics, logging).
• Designing and operating shared services, platform-as-a-product or API contracts.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and own the shared authentication/authorization layer for internal and external users.
• Own observability as a shared capability with OpenTelemetry instrumentation and standards.
• Develop and productize common platform services and API/BFF contracts used across teams.
• Establish CI/CD pipelines, templates, and automated quality gates (tests, security scans, AI-assisted review).
• Define and maintain integration contracts with legacy enterprise systems.
• Provide technical leadership, architecture guidance, and code reviews as team grows.
• Collaborate with Product & Experience Lead on feasibility and frontend/platform integration.
• Set technical standards and mentor engineers over time.
• Keep the platform charter tight by triaging requests and deferring non-core work.
