Job summary

Talanto is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for Platform - Access & Authorization to design and operate secure authentication and authorization services across COMPANY. You will own end-to-end development of OAuth, sessions, tokens, and edge authorization, building low-latency Go and gRPC services with strong observability.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of backend software engineering experience with Go or a comparable systems-oriented language.
• Experience designing secure APIs, authentication, authorization, and token handling (OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, JWTs).
• Experience with gRPC, Redis/DynamoDB, and building reliable distributed services.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end design, implementation, and operation of authentication, OAuth, sessions, tokens, 2FA, account recovery, and edge authorization.
• Build secure, low-latency Go and gRPC services used across web, mobile, API, and partner experiences with strong observability and SLOs.
• Lead technical designs for initiatives like signed authorization tokens, passkeys, biometric recovery, device-aware authentication, and mobile OAuth.
• Partner with product, security, fraud, and infrastructure teams to balance customer conversion, security, and regulatory requirements.
• Simplify integration patterns and build self-service tooling for product teams to adopt access controls safely at scale.
• Mentor engineers and raise the technical bar through reviews, pairing, and on-call participation.
