Job summary

Transaction Network Services (TNS) seeks a senior engineering leader to own and evolve our network automation platforms and delivery capabilities for a fleet of 70,000+ devices. You will guide Kubernetes-based deployments, Nautobot/Django stacks, and cloud security practices across teams such as Automation Developers, Network Engineers, Security, and Global Systems.

This role combines technical ownership with leadership across reliability, cloud architecture, DevSecOps, and release management.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive IT engineering experience, including 5+ years in DevOps or platform engineering.
• Proven experience deploying and operating production applications on Kubernetes.
• Strong hands-on AWS, Terraform, Helm, Docker, Git, GitLab administration, and CI/CD pipeline design.
• Hands-on AWS experience including IAM, EKS, EC2, VPC, S3, monitoring and cloud networking.
• Experience implementing DevSecOps practices and security scanning across the software lifecycle.
• Ability to lead architecture decisions, solve complex platform problems, and guide engineers.

Responsibilities

• Own the architecture, deployment, operation, and lifecycle of network automation applications and services.
• Design and operate containerized apps on Kubernetes using Helm, Argo, and Terraform.
• Own the Nautobot platform stack (Python/Django, Celery, uWSGI/NGINX, PostgreSQL, Redis, Kubernetes, AWS, GitLab CI/CD).
• Lead platform upgrades, plugin lifecycle management, performance tuning, and observability improvements.
• Build and manage application images, containers, and deployment workflows.
• Establish reliable release processes across development, test, and production environments.
• Partner with Global Systems and cloud teams to evolve AWS infrastructure and DR capabilities.
• Embed DevSecOps practices and ensure alignment with security policies and audits.
• Serve as senior technical authority for platform engineering and DevOps within the Automation team.
