Job summary

Mimica is hiring a DevOps / Platform Engineer to join a remote‑first, globally distributed team. You will own and scale infrastructure across regions, migrate IaC to Crossplane, and drive FinOps while enabling multi‑tenancy and BYOC deployments.

Strong Kubernetes, Terraform, and Python skills are required, with GitOps ownership and incident‑response experience strongly preferred. You will collaborate with engineering squads to keep environments healthy, automate platform tasks, and improve

Qualifications

• Hands-on Kubernetes experience (GKE preferred).
• Terraform as primary IaC tool; Terragrunt a plus.
• IAM/identity management on GCP or AWS.
• ArgoCD for continuous delivery experience.
• Observability with Honeycomb, Datadog, Grafana, or New Relic.
• Proficient in Python for automation.
• Startup/scale-up experience; comfortable with ambiguity.
• Strong communication and collaboration; translate infra to engineers.
• Incident response experience.

Responsibilities

• Support engineering teams in building mature, resilient apps on GKE.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure as code with Terraform and ArgoCD.
• Manage GKE environments across regions; IAM on GCP/AWS.
• Investigate and triage issues; monitor health; support SDLC.
• Participate in on-call rotation for incidents.
• Migrate IaC from Terraform to Crossplane; multi-region clusters.
• Drive FinOps to control cloud spend across accounts.
• Design access patterns for BYOC and single-tenancy environments.
• Instrument and improve observability with Honeycomb, Grafana.
