ServiceNow is seeking a Senior Software Engineer, Core Cryptography, to design and build secure cryptographic services for a large-scale SaaS platform. You will focus on key management, PKI, and secrets, applying ML/AI to detect misuse while coordinating with security and product teams.

You will deploy and operate services on Kubernetes within a multi-tenant environment, ensuring secure, compliant solutions and contributing to post-quantum readiness.

Qualifications

• 4+ years professional software engineering experience with production-scale Java or Go.
• Advanced knowledge of data structures, algorithms, OO design, design patterns, and performance/scale.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain secure cryptographic services meeting FIPS compliance and regulated-environment requirements.
• Build and operate core crypto services: key management, certificate lifecycle, secrets distribution.
• Apply ML techniques to detect misuse and anomalies in near real time.
• Collaborate with product owners, security architects, and engineering teams.
• Operate services on Kubernetes in a multi-tenant SaaS environment, including CI/CD and on-call.
• Write secure code with security-first mindset and rigorous reviews.
• Stay current on cryptographic advancements, including post-quantum readiness.
