Job summary

Toyota Financial Services is seeking a Principal Architect to own the end-to-end reference architecture of our cloud-native engineering platform. This senior IC role spans application, data, AI/ML, and infrastructure, with hands-on coding in TypeScript and/or Python to validate architectural decisions.

You will lead RFCs/ADRs, drive platform-wide standards, and mentor engineers while shaping governance across multi-account AWS environments.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering with 5+ years as hands-on architect on AWS platforms.
• Proven track record owning full-platform architecture decisions.
• Strong communication and cross-team collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Define end-to-end reference architecture across application, data, AI/ML, and infrastructure.
• Lead RFCs, ADRs, and design reviews across engineering teams.
• Contribute code spikes and production-quality components in TS or Python.
• Ensure security, observability, and deployment safety.
