Job summary

Toyota North America is seeking a Senior Engineering Lead for the TFS Banking and Commercial Lending team in Plano, TX. You will design end-to-end architectures for financial services apps, lead cloud-native initiatives in AWS, and mentor engineers across product and tech teams.

You will drive secure, scalable solutions, evaluate new patterns, and collaborate with stakeholders to align technical decisions with business priorities. This role requires strong leadership and deep cloud expertise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and 10+ years in software engineering/architecture.
• Strong foundation in Spring Boot, Java, Python, and/or JavaScript.
• Proven experience designing large-scale cloud-native solutions (AWS) and multi-region deployments.

Responsibilities

• Lead design discussions for APIs, databases, caching, messaging, resilience, and observability.
• Collaborate with product owners to design end-to-end architecture for financial services applications.
• Analyze trade-offs and deliver scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions.
• Evaluate new patterns and PoCs; lead AWS solutions and cloud-native initiatives.
• Define data lake/processing architectures for real-time and near real-time ingestion and monitoring.
• Create architecture artifacts and documentation; mentor junior engineers.
• Align technical decisions with business priorities across cross-functional teams.
