Job summary

Alliant Credit Union is seeking a senior platform engineer leader to own enterprise-wide platform strategy and end-to-end cloud platform lifecycles. You will set architecture targets for Fabric, Foundry/OpenAI, Databricks, and Synapse, while driving standardization and guardrails across domains.

You will mentor senior engineers, influence governance, and partner with executives to translate strategy into platform capabilities, including cost optimizations and self-service enablement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related
• 10+ years in platform engineering, cloud infrastructure, SRE roles or related
• 12 years of supporting enterprise-level environments in platform engineering, cloud infrastructure or SRE roles or related

Responsibilities

• Define enterprise-wide platform strategy, vision, and target-state architectures for platforms such as Microsoft Fabric, Foundry/OpenAI, Databricks, and Synapse.
• Establish standards and guardrails across all platform engineering domains.
• Drive innovation in cloud, data, and AI platforms (Fabric, OpenAI/Foundry, etc.).
• Lead large-scale transformation initiatives (e.g., platform modernization, DC exit, AI adoption).
• Act as the highest-level escalation point for technical decisions and complex issues.
