Job summary

Amazon in Seattle, WA is seeking a senior software engineer to lead platform-level capabilities across three teams. You will own memory lifecycle, retrieval strategy, and model-aware routing, guiding architecture decisions with broad impact.

You will mentor engineers, conduct design reviews, and stay hands-on with high-leverage code, interfaces, and stability fixes. This role emphasizes evidence-based, scalable system design and collaboration with Product and adjacent AWS teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
• 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience.
• 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience.
• Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and delivery of platform-level capabilities spanning multiple teams.
• Own technical decisions with system-wide consequences around memory lifecycle, retrieval strategy, model-aware routing.
• Drive design reviews across System of Context, Investigation Agent, and Evaluation teams.
• Stay hands-on, drive the highest-leverage code and code reviews.
• Mentor engineers across three teams and partner with Product and AWS groups.
