Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
• Experience programming in at least one modern language (Java, C++, or C#) with OO design
• Experience with the full software development life cycle: coding standards, reviews, source control, build, testing, operations
• 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 5+ years of programming with at least one language
• 5+ years of leading design or architecture for new/existing systems

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, delivery, and implementation of complex, large-scale systems and features, providing technical guidance and advocating for Amazon's engineering standards
• Collaborate with cross functional roles (e.g. Product and UX), translating customer needs into solutions
• Architect and develop robust, scalable services across end-to-end solutions
• Implement and drive best practices in modern software engineering including AI tooling and automated reviews
• Analyze and optimize system performance, scalability, and reliability using data-driven approaches
• Define technical strategies and contribute to long-term roadmaps including AI tech integration
• Lead conversations with senior leadership
• Participate in hiring, mentoring, and growing engineers and fostering knowledge sharing
• Obtain and maintain AWS Certifications
