Job summary

Dow in Hayward, CA is seeking a Senior Operations Performance Leader to guide the plant's operations team. You will share accountability for plant personnel and assets, ensuring achievement of site, business, and corporate goals.

Lead a team of about 25 production, logistics, and warehouse staff and back-up the Production Leader when needed. You will serve on the Hayward Site Leadership Team, promote safety, and uphold discipline, integrity, and customer focus while delivering safe, reliable,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering required.
• 8+ years of relevant experience.
• U.S. work authorization required; no visa sponsorship available.

Responsibilities

• Develop understanding of plant operating expectations and provide coaching to improve Operating Discipline.
• Develop skills and capabilities of the operations team through training and qualifications.
• Oversee operator hiring, qualifications, and staffing to minimize downtime.
• Participate in union negotiations and collaborate with HR and Labor Relations to maintain site competitiveness.
• Act as interim Production Leader and Site Emergency Manager when needed.
• Lead root cause investigations for unplanned events and implement safe, reliable solutions.
• Oversee budget and major expenditures to stay within targets.
• Support Production Leader to drive site strategic goals and communicate effectively.
