Job summary

Dow is hiring an Operator in Hayward, CA. The role involves transferring product, running water treatment, and operating pumps, valves, filters, and instrumentation. You will troubleshoot and repair equipment, work safely, and take on additional responsibilities as you grow with the plant.

The position requires 12-hour shifts (4-on/4-off), overtime as needed, a US driver’s license, and legal work status in the United States. Prior process tech or manufacturing experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Requires High School diploma or GED.
• Willing to work 12-hour shifts, 4-on-4-off, alternating days/nights.
• Overtime and holidays may be required.
• US driver’s license required to operate yard trucks.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States; no visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Follow facility procedures to ensure safe, efficient operation of assigned plant areas.
• Perform field tasks supporting plant operation (filters, sampling, transfers, wastewater treatment, weigh-ups).
• May perform bulk raw material offloads and finished product loading.
• Perform field checks on process equipment and basic troubleshooting/repairs.
• Oversee safe operation of batch processes and monitor critical parameters.
• Participate in immediate response activities and root cause investigations.
• Assist in corrective actions and continuous improvement.
• Coach and train others in plant operations.
• Perform housekeeping and other field improvements.
