Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a related field supporting food manufacturing operations, or equivalent experience.
• 7+ years of experience in manufacturing operations.
• Functional knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Essential math skills.
• Highly organized and systematic in approach.
• Ability to comprehend complex oral and written instructions.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail, with a high degree of accuracy and precision.
• Thorough knowledge of plant operations and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Supervise planning, coordination and direction of production activities.
• Develop and mentor department leaders to improve plant performance.
• Ensure safety, quality, reliability and customer focus across the plant.
• Provide leadership that embodies Kroger Manufacturing High Performance Work System principles.
• Prepare production portion of operating budgets; implement approved budgets.
• Communicate with plant leadership to implement policies effectively.
• Coordinate responsibilities with maintenance, sanitation, quality control and plant office.
• Maintain contact with sales and marketing activities affecting production/distribution.
• Develop methods for enabling all employees to achieve production goals.
• Develop department managers and associates to their fullest potential.
• Follow programs to produce safe, quality foods meeting regulatory and company requirements.
• Ensure compliance with Kroger Manufacturing Food Safety and Quality Principles.
• Supervise and coach direct reports; conduct performance reviews and provide feedback.
• Perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Work around ingredients and products known to contain food allergens.
