Job description

As a Senior Plant Manager, you will be responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating all activities of the assigned manufacturing plant. Your responsibilities include ensuring safety, environmental compliance, quality, production efficiency, cost control, and leading the plant workforce.

Key Responsibilities

1. Provide direction, allocate resources, and manage programs to meet safety and environmental performance goals.
2. Develop and implement plans to reduce waste, comply with regulatory standards, and handle emergency situations at the site.
3. Create a plant operating plan aligned with the business objectives.
4. Identify and secure necessary resources to execute the operating plan.
5. Establish, maintain, and improve standards for product quality, equipment, and operator performance, utilizing cost-effective technology to maximize production.
6. Develop a capital plan to enhance plant operations.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical discipline.
2. Minimum of ten years of progressive manufacturing experience, including at least seven years supervising multiple departments.
3. Thorough knowledge of manufacturing operations and safety procedures.
4. Proven success in managing a safe and environmentally sound work environment.
5. Experience with Process Safety Management.
6. Experience in Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
7. Background in solvent-based coatings or heavy manufacturing (coatings/chemicals) is preferred.
