Job description

As a Senior Plant Manager, you will be responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating all activities of the assigned manufacturing plant. Responsibilities include safety, environmental compliance, quality, production, cost control, and leadership of the plant workforce.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Provide direction, ensure resources, and manage programs to meet safety and environmental performance goals.
  2. Develop and implement plans to reduce waste, comply with regulatory standards, and handle emergency situations at the site.
  3. Create a plant operating plan aligned with the overall business plan.
  4. Identify resource requirements for the operating plan and secure them.
  5. Establish and maintain standards for product quality, equipment, and operator performance, ensuring the use of cost-effective technology to maximize production.
  6. Develop capital plans to improve plant operations.

Qualifications

  1. Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical discipline.
  2. Minimum of ten years of progressively responsible manufacturing experience, including at least seven years supervising multiple departments.
  3. Thorough knowledge of manufacturing operations and safety procedures.
  4. Experience in managing a safe and environmentally sound work environment.
  5. Prior experience with Process Safety Management.
  6. Experience with Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
  7. Background in solvent-based coatings or heavy manufacturing (coatings/chemicals) is preferred.
