Job summary

WM is seeking a Senior Maintenance Technician in the United States (NJ) to maintain plant machinery, support safety programs, and ensure reliable operations. You will work a Monday–Friday schedule with on-call duties to handle urgent repairs and preventive maintenance tasks across building systems and equipment.

The role demands hands-on expertise with industrial maintenance, strong safety practices, and the ability to work in a team environment while adhering to WMHS procedures and CMMS

Qualifications

• 4 years of related experience and/or training with maintenance activities.
• Experience using forklifts, aerial-lifts and rigging equipment.
• Experience with LOTO and permit confined space programs.

Responsibilities

• Performs preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance on buildings and plant equipment.
• Diagnoses equipment issues and performs repairs; on-call readiness for urgent repairs.
• Maintains equipment via CMMS work orders and safety standards.
• Operates and maintains pumps, boilers, electrical systems, and conveyors.
• Assists with inventory management and parts procurement.

Education

Boiler certification or license

Welding certification or license

Electrical certification or license

Instrumentation and Controls (I&C) certification
