Job summary

The Keystone Distinction Group is seeking a Plant Engineer in Wilson, NC to lead the maintenance and engineering team in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment. You will own capital projects from concept to completion, drive advanced maintenance strategies, and ensure production lines run at peak efficiency.

You will develop and implement preventive/predictive maintenance, TPM, and related systems while overseeing a capable maintenance team and ensuring safety, quality, and regulatory

Qualifications

• 8+ years of relevant engineering experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 2+ years of demonstrated team management or project leadership experience.
• Strong leadership, organizational planning, teamwork, analytical reasoning and adaptability.
• Advanced technical skills in mechanical/electrical fields (e.g., PLCs, instrumentation) and ability to lead resource planning in a large manufacturing environment.
• Thorough knowledge of maintenance systems, work order process, preventive/predictive maintenance, TPM, etc.
• Ability to use exposure monitoring equipment and interpret results.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Word.
• Clear written and oral communication; strong interpersonal, technical and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Own capital projects from concept to completion, managing scope, budget and schedule with safety and compliance as a priority.
• Develop and implement cutting-edge maintenance systems, including Preventive and Predictive Maintenance and TPM to maximize plant performance.
• Lead and develop the maintenance team, delegate tasks, enforce policies and oversee work planning for safe, efficient execution.
• Provide both short-term fixes and long-term solutions to daily operational challenges to minimize downtime.
• Track and drive continuous improvement through KPIs such as equipment reliability, maintenance costs and overall equipment effectiveness.
