Job summary

Sora Resource Group is seeking a Plant Engineer in Wilson, NC to lead the maintenance and engineering department of a fast-paced food manufacturing operation. You will drive capital projects, implement preventive/predictive maintenance, TPM, and other high-impact strategies to maximize uptime and safety while ensuring a state-of-the-art production environment.

Responsibilities include leading a maintenance team, ensuring timely project delivery, and advancing continuous improvement through KPI

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field with 8+ years of relevant experience, or equivalent combo.
• 2+ years of team management or project leadership experience.
• Strong leadership, planning, teamwork, and adaptability.
• Advanced technical skills in mechanical/electrical fields and ability to lead resource planning in a large manufacturing environment.
• Thorough knowledge of maintenance systems, W.O. process, preventive/predictive maintenance, TPM.
• Ability to use exposure monitoring equipment and communicate results.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.
• Clear written and oral communication; strong problem-solving and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Own capital projects from concept to completion, manage scope, schedule, and budget while preserving safety and compliance.
• Develop and implement maintenance systems (Preventive/ Predictive Maintenance, TPM) to maximize uptime.
• Lead and manage maintenance team; delegate tasks, enforce policies, ensure safe, efficient work.
• Provide short-term fixes and long-term solutions to daily operational challenges.
• Develop and track KPIs for maintenance to drive continuous improvement across the plant.
