Job summary

Albemarle in Magnolia, AR seeks a Plant Controller to lead the site’s financial performance, partnering with Plant Manager and operations to drive cost discipline, forecasting, and profitability. You will own budgeting, monthly close, inventory valuation, and capital project evaluation, building driver-based models and dashboards with SAP and BI tools.

The role demands strong accounting, 8+ years in finance, and SAP expertise, with effective communication in a matrix org.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Engineering, or related quantitative discipline; advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum 8 years of progressive finance or accounting experience, including at least 5 years in FP&A, plant controlling, or site finance business partnering.
• Advanced SAP expertise—FI/COPA, MM, Purchasing, and production data—with the ability to extract, analyze, and interpret data independently.

Responsibilities

• Lead plant financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and standard costing.
• Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close including reconciliations and variance reporting.
• Develop driver-based models, dashboards, and automated reporting using SAP, Excel, and BI tools.
• Collaborate with operations, supply chain, maintenance, engineering, procurement and commercial teams to improve productivity and cash.
• Ensure US GAAP and SOX compliance and coordinate audits.
