Job summary

Albemarle Corporation seeks a Plant Controller for its Magnolia site to lead finance, budgeting, and performance analysis. You will partner with Plant Manager and operations to drive cost discipline, profitability, and accurate reporting across month-end closes and forecasts.

The role requires advanced SAP FI/COPA and manufacturing data expertise, strong Excel/BI skills, and the ability to translate data into actionable insights for cross-functional teams. On-site in Magnolia.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Engineering, or a related quantitative discipline; advanced degree preferred.
• Minimum 8 years of progressive finance or accounting experience, including 5+ years in FP&A or plant controlling.
• Advanced SAP expertise - FI/COPA, MM, Purchasing, and production data.
• Expert-level Excel and financial-modeling; BI tools like Power BI / SQL preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close with accurate reconciliations and variance reporting.
• Own plant budgeting, forecasting, and rolling forecasts; drive cost discipline and profitability.
• Develop driver-based models, dashboards, and automated reporting using SAP, Excel, and BI tools.
• Partner with operations to improve productivity, working capital, inventory, and cash performance.
• Evaluate capital projects, returns, and post-investment benefits; communicate insights cross-functionally.
