Job summary

Albemarle is seeking a Plant Controller for the Magnolia, AR site. You will partner with plant leadership to drive financial accountability, budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis, linking operational drivers to financial results.

The role is on-site in Magnolia, AR, and demands strong SAP and Excel modeling skills. You will lead month-end closes, cost analysis, and capital project evaluations, while collaborating with operations, procurement, and engineering to improve profitability

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Finance, Business, Engineering, or related quantitative field.
• Minimum 8 years of progressive finance or accounting experience with 5+ years FP&A, plant controlling, or site finance partnering.
• Advanced SAP FI/COPA, MM knowledge and ability to extract and interpret data.
• Expert Excel and financial modeling; Power BI/SQL preferred for dashboards.
• CPA/CMA/CFA or MBA preferred; Lean Six Sigma a plus.

Responsibilities

• Partner with plant leadership to drive financial accountability and cost discipline.
• Own budgeting, forecasting, costing, inventory valuation, and financial reporting.
• Lead month-, quarter-, and year-end close with reconciliations and variance analysis.
• Establish cost-management cadence linking volume, labor, material usage and overhead to results.
• Develop driver-based models, dashboards, and automated finance reporting.
