SAFEbuilt is seeking a Senior Plans Examiner to join our team in the United States. The role focuses on performing complete non-structural plan reviews for commercial, industrial, and residential buildings to ensure compliance with adopted codes.

You will work with municipal clients and contribute to a team known for integrity and service. Responsibilities include reviewing plans for city, state, and federal code compliance, addressing basic zoning aspects, and providing technical direction to

Qualifications

• 4–7 years of Commercial Plans Examiner experience
• ICC Building Official or Master Code Professional certification preferred
• Extensive knowledge of local building codes and construction procedures
• Proven ability to interact professionally with municipal clients and staff

Responsibilities

• Provide complete non-structural plan reviews of commercial, industrial, and residential buildings for code compliance.
• Review all plans to ensure compliance with adopted codes by city, state, and federal laws.
• Involve basic zoning considerations such as setbacks and height restrictions.
• Attend preconstruction conferences with contractors and developers.
• Provide technical direction to inspection personnel for field problems.
• Interact regularly with municipal clients and their staff.
